that place is too clean to represent actual irl farming. stinks of rich guy hobby farming. needs like 30 full/empty/partially empty 55 gallon drums, tools just rough ridin' everywhere, stuff piled up so you can't get to other stuff, some bats, gigantic sliding doors that you can barely push open instead of a garage door, tons of broken stuff that nobody knows what it goes to (is it actually broken? no idea), 7 non working refrigerators used to store stuff for some reason, 6 ATV/UTVs with 33% of their tires completely flat.

SD, I seen a lot of these barns over the years at farm auctions and neighbors.  We never had a big barn for junk and stuff.  Instead, we had a hay barn, livestock/hay barn, dairy barn, grain barn w/2 truck shed, and machine shop w/ dug out pit for working on vehicles and 2 car garage attached.  There was lots of crap in this shop, but mainly power shop tools.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

I have like 20 wood pallets accumulated over the years... apparently cous just leaves them after  he has used the seed bags off them during planting season.

They make a great backboard for shooting pistols and rifles.  Just stack them vertical two wide by two high with a second set behind them only turned 90deg.   You can use baling wire to tie all 8 pallets .  Almost forgot, you'll need a couple of 10' 4x6 posts set 3' in ground and about 4' apart to tie to the pallets. It lasts a long time and very cheap to replace.

Question for you cow farmers out there.

What is the standard mortality rate for calfs in their first couple months?

I spend most the day inside the house working so I usually take Milo for a run in the CRP then cruise the pasture in the evening to get out of the house.

Found another dead calf by the "Creek" tonight. Momma cow was still hanging around it :(

Like, not very high. And it’s usually right when they are born. If they are dying off right now you may irl have a cowrona virus going around or some crap.

Finished our 9 hole par 3 and played it this evening. Holes range from 110 to 160 yards and obstacles include corrals/barns/windbreaks etc.

Played a full 18 and my brother beat me by 3. Also you see that overgrown pen just left of the H?

We mowed it down and its in play, landed a ball in there about 5 ft from thick metal corral fence. I tried to chip out, hit the fence and it ricocheted back and plonked me on the top of the head.

Great times, 10 out of 10.

seems very inefficient to have to walk to each tee box, no where else to put in a couple "greens"?

Made a  trip to farm today before Kansas SIP.  A view from the tee box.  Dropped a bunch of cedars in the pasture while Mrs 8 and #2 fished.

Tom,

I appreciate your flint hills farming knowledge but the answer is not sunflowers.
