everyone in my area is strictly angus. my great grandpa was the last of hereford cattle farmers around.

 :frown:

my dad and brother in law like angus because they're much more tame and easier to handle than other cows. If they have a crazy heifer they will sell it.

My grandpa always raised Hereford because he thought Angus were a pain in the ass

your father pretty much sounds like an accountant that counts cows.

Were your farm family cold blooded killers of any vermin on earth?  My grandpa turned into the iceman if an opossum dared get trapped or too many barn cats were born

ehh, not really. sddad didn't like coyotes but I don't know why. they aren't killing a baby cow if the mom cow isn't a garbage parent anyway.

+1 on the Deere over Case IH.  Running an operation with John Deere is infinitely more prestigious than running the same operation with Case IH.  Personally, I'm partial to older Ford tractors.

SD, did you like running a hitch boom on your Type I hitch?

I have no idea what that means

tell me more about the trucks

well, there are tons. some are huge. some are those semi trucks that we used to haul cows around in this huge double decker cow hauler trailer. they poop right out the side. there is cow poop all sprayed down the side from the first and second level. DO NOT stand next to it when there are tons of cows in it. sometimes I would have to clean it out with a big powerwasher. like a million tons of dried cow poop blasted out all over everything all over. there is a ramp inside that the cows can go up to the second story. it's a pretty ridiculous thing, you would have to see it. I can't explain it good. holds like a thousand cows.

I only know of like 5 kinds of cows and only because we had those kinds. I would say he is a very low intelligence hereford that thinks he's a smart hereford and doesn't know that everyone else knows.
