My dad got jealous of all the other farmers having signs/hats bragging about what year their farm/homestead was established.

So he made some hats with the year my Grandma's Grandpa started the homestead.

My father in law dropped off 3 shotguns to get cleaned and one is a pre-1964 jc Higgins, an old Sears Roebuck shotgun. Felt like a farmer.

My grandpa has a an 80 acre hayfield that his grandpa bought in 1900 or something.

Grandad got it registered as a centennial farm and got a plaque or certificate and boy was he proud
