I think they're, like...religi-dads who have some kind of club. They're the dudes with the stark blue bumper stickers on their Caravans that say "I [HEART] my wife." But I think there's some kinda weird secret religious club that comes along with the bumper stickers.

hmmmm.  Seems weird.  Who needs a room full of men to help encourage you to not cheat on your wife?  Seems redundant.   I mean, you technically already joined that club, along with your wife, when you said "I do", but if you need Phil from down the street to help out, go nuts, I guess.

Is this like AA for ppls that want to cheat rather than drink?  If so, isn't that already a thing?

Not a PKer. Am a pak'r. I think the PKers are about more than fidelity. Not certain.

Nothing wrong being called a pk'er. There is definitely more to it than infidelity prevention. It's more like a life support group. Marriage, kids, work. Just small group fellowship where friends can talk and share without judgmental bs. Some of the groups are more accountability while others are more Bible study. Others are somewhere in the middle.

PK isn't real big in my church. Not even certain there are any PK groups. Different men's groups there that are more Bible study based. Accountability is in one to one settings.

I have no problem with that, but it seems like their marketing campaign sucks if that is the case.   :dunno:

Don't they also think the guy is some master of house and wife must submit?

If they are Baptist, they do.  I mean, I have only been to like 5 or 6 Baptist weddings, but each one had that right there in the vows.  I know because my wife gives me a WTF/ :surprised: look every time.

The rest of the verse... Husbands are to love their wives as Jesus loved the church.

Think about that.

Also, when they menstruate they must be kept off by themselves.  That's in there too.

We get going on a very dangerous path if we take any more from the bible than merely the golden rule....nothing more is needed.

NOW, OFF TO THE PIT....

In 1990, while still head football coach at Colorado, McCartney founded a Christian men's group called Promise Keepers after giving up an extramarital affair.

McCartney was on the forefront to support Amendment 2 to the Colorado Constitution, outlawing equal right protection to gay, lesbian, and transgender people.

Didn't his daughter marry one of his players and then had his grand kids or something?
