I feel like that would be a dumb overreaction.Agreed, and I don't think it will happen.I posted this in another thread....We'll RE-ask to be allowed to have a championship game, and they'll grant it in the spirit of this new "don't tread on me" de-regulation in D1. Then we'll start playing a championship game. Rear view mirror for the rest of the conference and 1998 for the rest of Baylor and TCU fans' lives.

Divisions seem kind of pointless.
And this isn't a big 12 issue. It's the name of Baylor and TCU. If it was Texas and OK, the big 12 gets one of them in.

How much money and prestige do we lose by not having a team in the playoffs?

I really don't think the lack of a championship game had anything at all to do with this.
Teams like Baylor, TCU, KSU, etc will have to give the committee no choice but select them, they will never be the preferred choice.
Quote from: troubledscribe on December 07, 2014, 12:53:58 PMHow much money and prestige do we lose by not having a team in the playoffs? It's key for Baylor and TCU to win/dominate their bowl games. If they do, then Big 12 will go into next season without any real prestige hit (maybe even a bit of a boost versus losing in the first round of the playoffs).
Now that the Big 12 has good and truly been mumped in the ass, will Bob Bowlsby step up and show why he earns a pay check?Or, will he merely sit back and take this quietly. Curious to see what comes out of his office.
Bowlsby should prob get hammered though. How the hell do you not have a true champion when that's your slogan.
