If there were no job, family or money realities.  Where would you go, what would you drive, who and what would you bring.

go.

Good topic.

I've always dreamed of trying to drive from here to the Tierra Del Fuego....though I don't think that there is a route to do this.

We'd probably want a Chevy Suburban, with a body that looked like it was worn out pretty good (so as not to draw too much attention).  We'd have to get reinforced suspension and tires, and if money were not object we'd get bullet proofing done on it.

We'd need someone in our group who spoke Spanish.  We'd also need a ninja.  Probably KK could do both, not sure.

We'd have to document it all with video, etc.  Probably though, we'd just spend most of our time reviewing the beer/tequila/pork products in each jerkwater barrio we ran into.

Some small 60s or 70s era deathtrap convertible.  Only items to take with are what I can fit in the trunk.

Go through Colorado/Utah for Canyoneering/Mountain biking.  Go to Portland for beer festival.  Head south to see friends in Cali/surf/scuba dive.  Travel through the south, see live shows in Austin.  Scuba dive a shipwreck close to Galveston.  Scuba a mine in Missouri heading back north.  Head to Cedar point for rollercoasters.  Finish in Chicago at a music festival and seeing a Hamburger bed a friend purchased for a ridiculous amount.

I would want to know how fast I did anything athletic on my trip so I would take Stacy to keep my stats straight.

I love the fact that LSOC started a thread about a "Fantasy roadtrip" an hour before he started the thread about how to stop a baby from crying.  Things must be golden in the LSOC homestead right about now.

Not in a hummer dood, in fact I may get a hummer stretch limo to fit more doods in.

Are personal drivers/chauffers allowed? I feel like they would definately make the road trip easier/allow for more drinking time, but would also take a crucial expeirience(the actual driving) our of the trip.

Thoughts?

I love the fact that LSOC started a thread about a "Fantasy roadtrip" then he posts a trip that he's actually taken.  Should've titled this thread, "A cool trip I took once".

1.I would call everyone that I know and like.
2.Buy this thing and hire a crew
3.Cruise the world stopping only to refuel and restock the beer and food.

I have always wanted to get a BMW motorcycle (only because they are comfortable)  Haleys look cool but my back can't take it. I would drive from Protland Oregon to Portland Main along the coast line - NOT along Canada.  I would carry a gun to shoot Mexicans that try to hitch a ride unless it's a hot little sinurita(sp)?
