i absolutely don't get people including bowl games. so weird.

Bowl games are about getting there. Nothing really that gut wrenching about losing them. I guess if we had lost 1 of the Fiesta Bowls in the way we lost the Pinstripe Bowl, my gut might have wrenched a bit.

That 96 Cotton Bowl was really tough, I'm tempted to put it higher. In retrospect of course bowl games are meh, but at the time it was our first traditional new years bowl and we were new money, hell we weren't even that yet. The game was amazingly fun, there were so many emotional swings from Super Mario's massive hit to dickbag Sark taunting our bench. We drive the entire length of the field only to see Cavanaugh throw a pick in the endzone to end the game.  Seeing Kevin Lockett :bawl: was too much to handle.

Yeah I can see that MIR. I wasn't really a fan back then so it didn't register with me.

That Cotton Bowl loss to BYU was exponentially more soul crushing than any other bowl loss. Agree with MIR it was definitely one of the most painful that I can remember.

It will probably go down in history as the only time I've ever actually shed tears from a KSU loss.

Kind of shameful, but I was barely 13 at the time.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

My #1 is the Baylor game. We were so close. That was our chance to win the NC. Would have rolled ND in the ship.

My #1 remains the '98 loss to aTm. But you're right. We would have drilled ND.

2005 has to be the most gut-wrenching season, right? I mean, that CU game with the Moreira muffed punt, the blowout loss at ISU, the game we should have won at NU . . .

The 2007 season was pretty gut wrenching. Should have beat Auburn, beat Texas on the road, loss at home to KU, and then losing on the road the final game of the year to be bowl eligible at Fresno.

I've suppressed pretty much all memory of 2004 - 2008.  The 04 Fresno State game I felt like Jodie Foster in the accused right as she was getting held down on the pinball table and then my mind just had to go to a happy place for the next 5 football seasons.  I vaguely recall a couple of fun wins over texas but that's about it.

I felt like we would've drilled Tennessee in '98.  That one was the suck.
