Their best player is #5 Mike Caffey... He avg 16/4/4 last year, but only shot 8-26 and scored 22 points total in the two games vs K-State.

As a team, they have already jacked up 40 3's and have turned it over 30 times in two games, including their exhibition. LBSU plays Xavier tonight at 6 on FS1 if you want to see if they pass the "eye test".

Another thing worth mentioning is The Beach plays a ridiculous noncon schedule... They have road games at BYU, Xavier, UCLA, SFA (Go Brad!  :D), SDSU, Texas, Louisville, Syracuse, and St John's. They could go .500 this season and still have a top 50 RPI.

The bad new son of Beaches for 2014 are led by experienced senior guards Caffey and Lamb who combined for 31.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game last year.  They imported a 6-foot-9 guy who is a rim protector and rebounder.  Also 4 freshmen who led their teams last year to state championships are now playing.  Last year Loooooong Beaches Staters were not too good, but they could give us hell if we do not play like Wild Wildcats.  Coma-ball like we played in the first half last night will not cut it.  Cats have the capacity to win, but Weber is going to have to crawl up players grill and honk the hell out of their horns.
