why are they scoping his knee if he sprained an ankle?

his sprained ankle runs all the way up to his knee?

they go in through the knee to scope the ankle, gives them a better camera angle.. not sure, but i think that's why they call it a scope

Here's how acl's work; you can mostly walk around and do normal stuff but the second you try to do something athletic you fall on your face. So it doesn't really matter if he's walking around without crutches and stuff.
