the giants/cards making the nlcs was the most predictable series of all-time, they are by far the luckiest/clutch teams in baseball. it will be very interesting to see what happens.

the giants have won 11 of their last 12 postseason games and eliminated the cards two years ago (and went on to win the world series). their postseason pitching is remarkable.

Molina's injury is a real problem for the Cards. An oblique injury entails a slow recovery. If they replace him on the NLCS roster, he's not eligible for the WS if the Cards get there.

It may be too bad. Molina is the heart and soul of the Cards. I was hoping for a rematch of the '85 Series so we could kick their butts again. Unlikely without Molina. (Interesting post, tho, Stevesie).
