the giants/cards making the nlcs was the most predictable series of all-time, they are by far the luckiest/clutch teams in baseball.  it will be very interesting to see what happens.

Harper

I feel bad for him. He's my favorite non-Royal.

I have a 100% better chance of going to a WS game if it's Royals-Cardinals, so that's what I want
:adios:

Maybe, but Matheny has LaRussa in his blood.

the giants have won 11 of their last 12 postseason games and eliminated the cards two years ago (and went on to win the world series).  their postseason pitching is remarkable.

the giants have allowed 9 runs in 54 innings so far this postseason (1.50 era).  that is ridiculous.

Molina's injury is a real problem for the Cards. An oblique injury entails a slow recovery. If they replace him on the NLCS roster, he's not eligible for the WS if the Cards get there.

Well that is just too bad.

It may be too bad. Molina is the heart and soul of the Cards. I was hoping for a rematch of the '85 Series so we could kick their butts again. Unlikely without Molina. (Interesting post, tho, Stevesie).

I can't think of a single reason why a Royals fan would want to face St. Louis

It's a much easier trip to St Louis than San Francisco from Chicago.

Tickets are under $100 on stub hub for tonight. If you're a royals fan in KC that doesn't go, you aren't much of a fan
