Sam Elliott would be a nice addition to those Orman commercials.

I can hear it now "... and his buddies in Washington ..."
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

"... Greg Orman. There's a man who takes care of business. A man who's not afraid to stand up to the two party debacle in Washington. An independent voice of reason in a sea of red n blue foolishness...Greg Orman, now there's a man for the job."

Pat Roberts' new commercial that ran during the a World Series was just amazing on so many levels. It was basically a ripoff of those old Pace Picante commercials where everyone says New York City! only it was about the places Orman lives (Johnson County!) and does business (China!).

So I guess LFBHC Billy Snyder is stumping for Roberts now.  Does this happen in other states where you have a popular football coach?

Just a terrible, terrible ad. It almost seems like a parody? Pretty insulting that the Roberts campaign believe this "hick bait" will be effective. Roberts other ads have been much more effective, in my opinion, correctly explaining that a vote for Orman threatens to keep Harry Reid in control of the Senate.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

That's why he's LHFCBS. A pragmatic conservative who understands what's at stake in this election. Take note, gentlemen.

Yes, it is easily the worst political ad that I have ever seen, and that says a lot. Somebody who gets roundly criticized for not living in Kansas going after his opponent for living in Johnson County just doesn't make much sense. I wish I could find it on the internet to link it, but I haven't been able to.

Definitely not the worst - but pretty bad, and I agree with the hypocrisy element.

This isn't a local ad, but check this one out that NARAL is running in Colorado!

Here's the transcript, but you've really got to listen to it for maximum effect.

Quote
Woman: Did you try the corner market?

Man: Of course.

Woman: Grocery store?

Man: Sold out.

Woman: Drug store?

Man: Come on.

Woman: So everyone’s sold out of condoms? Hmm. How did this happen?

Man: Cory Gardner banned birth control. And now, it’s all on us guys. And you can’t find a condom anywhere. And the pill was just the start. Pell grants my little brother was counting on for college? Cory cut them. Climate change that everyone knows is weirding our weather, Cory flat-out denies it. Sweet Pea, Cory denies science!

Woman: Come on!

Man: This guy has no idea what’s going on in the real world.

My favorite parts are when he calls her "Sweat Pea" and talks about "weirding our weather."

That is pretty great. Radio ads deserve their own category, though. They tend to be crazier than tv spots.

I just like the talking chickens part. It's true, btw, that he threatened to sue over a few chickens walking on the yard of his lakehouse. He's a pretty thin skinned individual, and dumb to boot. In short, he'll fit in great if elected.

Threatening to sue isn't really in the same ballpark as actually suing somebody, though. I wouldn't want chickens running all over my yard, either.

Well, would have been more Iowa to threaten to "cook 'em up."

Udall has been running his campaign like a dumbass in CO.  Until the last couple of weeks, he has single issued Gardner like crazy.  Mark, everyone knows where Gardner stands on abortion and anyone making their choice on that issue is set.  Maybe you should say something else.

Yup, even people in the media are referring to him as Sen. Mark Uterus. He's done, unless Colorado's fraud-prone vote by mail scheme can sufficiently pack the ballot box for him.

I just heard a Brownback radio ad talking about a Democratic Party leader calling communities like Galena, Cherryvale, and Coffeyville "crapholes".

I enjoyed the mail in vote - it allowed me to do research at home on candidates in lesser known races that impact me.  I think it will help with voter turnout, which Republicans seem to hate for some reason.
