I would love for ISU to get kicked out. They are worthless and bring nothing to the Big 12. Their losery fans and athletic department would fit right in with the AAC.

Let's trade them for Cincy or UCF.

The officiating is undeniably awful, so he's probably right.

Is Pollard blaming the officiating for two isu players letting a kickoff go in between them and an entire kickoff coverage team letting tyreke run one back?

At this point, I am wondering if there might really be a conspiracy going on. We are a low revenue generator for the B12 coffers. Rewarding the haves and punishing the have-nots makes business sense. They would like nothing more than having ISU leave the conference. Too bad this can't be investigated by an outside agency.

No one can deny ISU has gotten screwed at the hands of the officials.
KU was given the league in basketball two years ago
I'm OK with their AD stepping up and defending ISU

That took some serious balls. As K-State fans, we should appreciate and applaud someone speaking up like that to improve accountability. The Big 12 needs it.

Every one in college athletics knows officials favor the ranked teams.  Iowa State's AD has had enough.  He is just stating the obvious.  It needs to be said more often.

I really don't see one thing wrong w/ what he said ... that being said, I'm not sure what call happened today to cause this, or what the lone vote was that he mentioned either.

What the A.D. was true. The officiating was horrible and they get apologies but that doesn't help after the game is over.

I applaud him.  The D-bags in Big 12 Administration won't pay any attention (other than to fine him), but at least he had the nuts to say something.

I applaud him, he wasn't whiny or arrogant or anything else and they are speaking up about the officiating that we've all complained about in this conference. I have a feeling a "state" school is going to have to say something about it because you know ou or ut won't since they are protected for the most part. I'm surprised more of the teams didn't agree with them when they brought it up last year.

Bravo, ISU AD! 

Look, I understand from a sportsmanship angle that you don't want coaches and ADs and players throwing refs under the bus every time they lose a game.  I understand that there will always be controversial calls and plays that could have gone the other way that often affect the outcome of close games.

That's not what this is about.  This is about incompetent officiating - referees who don't know the rules (a la our blocked punt last week) and a broken replay system that gets calls wrong more often that it gets right.  There's zero accountability for these guys and they know it.  That's why you see morons like the referee in the longest replay ever trying to argue with his fellow officials that he didn't screw up.  You see plays reviewed that are obvious to everybody in the stadium, but they have to stop play to make it look like they're doing their job.

Having said that, Big 12 football refs look like all-stars compared to the baffoons who officiate Big 12 basketball games.

Right or wrong (and I expect he's right), I think coaches and administrators should be able to freely voice their opinions on the quality of officiating.

Free speech is guaranteed in the Bill of Rights as something that is important in society.

Stifling complaints in the name of sportsmanship is wrong.

If open commentary is allowed, and an individual has a pattern of being whiny or simply being mistaken, public opinion will provide the necessary negative feedback.

What happened with Iowa State vs. KU in that basketball game a year or two ago was highway robbery.

Our conference is a cesspool. The potential for Big 12 game fixing has been there for awhile. I typically don't believe in overblown conspiracies, but I'm buying into this one for once.

So when we're kicked out of the Big 12 for exposing the rot where will we land?
The worst we'd fall is AAC or Mountain West. I think the big 10 would actually be a possibility. The big 12 can't kick us out unless we do something Penn State bad, and if they tried, it would go to court. There would either be a stay, or the pay day we'd get would make us attractive to other conferences
