Last time I had a walking taco at an ISU sporting event, the meat tasted like it may have been repurposed from the side of I-35. Also if you are looking for nightlife and have a choice between Des Moines and Ames, pick Des Moines. Collegetown/Welsh Ave in Ames is probably the way Aggieville was during prohibition. They don't even know what to call it, could you imagine someone calling Aggieville (autocorrects to adorable BTW) Moro St?

It was. They also have this thing called a bar capacity. I guess if there's too many people in a certain establishment, you have to wait in line to get in or go elsewhere. Happened to us twice on Friday. Can't recall the last time that's happened.


Theres also a drag of bars where the rich and important people hang..but I was ready to leave at that point
