I'm afraid he's dunzo with competing in golf at the highest levels. He'll slay on the Champions Tour though.

It's a quote I read from the la county sheriff

Quote
Sheriff Villanueva said only that Woods appeared to be driving at a “greater speed than normal” and that he did not seem to be impaired by drugs or alcohol. He added that because Woods did not seem impaired, “there was no effort to draw blood, for example, at the hospital.”

Glad that substances didn't seem to play a factor.  Hope he gets well soon.

Time to hang it up and caddy for his kid now.  From what I understand he is really rough ridin' good.

I bet he'll be like Faldo and hit the booth or coach or something. He doesn't seem like the type who can go from being the GOAT to hanging out on the Seniors tour.

I could see him still playing in the 4 majors as long as he can, and just laying low outside of that, doing his golf course design work, and being with his kids, etc.

Maybe I've read it wrong but sounds like about a year before he can even start working to get in golf shape again? If all goes perfect over the next few weeks.

Could be good for his back...

5 back surgeries and now this. He's 45. I know he's chasing greatness, but he should really start thinking about his livelihood moving forward. And nobody wants to see him catch that racist prick more than me when it comes to greatest golfer of all time.

Agreed.  He can come back from this.  Obviously, like always, he'll have the best medical care and rehab, and as alluded to earlier, maybe this will help the back heal.

I can definitely see him playing the majors when he is healthy and doing some damage.  That would be truly awesome.

But he has a long road ahead of him.

didn't know that about jack, but if it's his support of trump i'm not sure tiger is much better. it's golf though, what can you expect. history of privilege but it's also an awesome game. :dunno:

i think no question he'll go down as the greater golfer, his peak years might never be matched, and we all know he would have smashed the record if he was healthy.

Back problems run in our family. Can confirm my grandpa's livelihood is not great. He told me one time he couldn't remember what he did for an entire month because of the pain killers he took. That crap fucks with you.

Oh, I think you may be using the wrong word. I thought you were talking about having money to provide for his family.

Are you thinking quality of life?

Yes, my bad. He's richer than god. I worry about his health overall as a human being.

My guess is that there are a lot of people at Nike, etc. who are very happy that they did not draw blood.

I take it that after going off the road the front end of the car hit something with enough force to crush his legs and pin him inside. Ouch.

It wasn't like he was leaving a bar. He left his hotel and was headed to a golf course.

Yeah, they're talking about the pain meds he was most likely prescribed!

Yeah, they're talking about the pain meds he was most likely prescribed!

Yep, and still not legal to drive on prescribed meds of that sort.

Yeah, and the facts are it was a little after 7am, he was running late to a golf outing, and there were no signs of impairment.
