it's unfortunate that the goEMAW user demographic has gotten to an age where they believe that it's acceptable to talk about golf.

Why did he look like he wanted to quit today?  He looked like he was sad.  I wasn’t old enough to see him play in his prime, is this like one of his things like wearing a red shirt?

Tiger's body language/attitude is directly correlated to how his performance compares to his expectations. He performed poorly today, and hence his body language was poor. We just didn't notice it in his prime because he kicked ass 24/7/365. Even in his prime, though, he used to ruffle some feathers because the mics would pick up him swearing after a missed shot. Golf was even more genteel, then.

i'm of an age to think walking around whacking a ball in front of you is interesting, but i do not think that.

I would have thought the pace of golf is what sys dislikes, but nope, this known bball nerd is put off by the silliness of humans manipulating sports balls around to score points

i only like the parts of baseball where they are running, thinking about running or trying to engineer an opportunity to run.

Young-ish guys go out to the driving range or golf course and they hit these weak, pathetic shots with these ball flights that go off to the right like a dying quail, then they try the chip&putt area where they
Are met with more fascets of their inadequacy and they are damn sure not going to blame their own athleticism for this display so they start lashing out at the game and who plays it (textbook Nancy behavior)

It's for those reasons why I love watching it tho. I keep going out there and keep making a  fool of myself and watching these studs makes me hungry for more. They're so damn good. Also, I love Tiger, but he's been pretty non-existent for the last 10 years. Spieth, Rory, Fowler, DJamer, JT, Finau, dechambeau, etc. have still made the sport fun to watch. I was really hoping Spieth would run with it after his play two years ago, but this is a competitive field. Tiger imprinted this eras studs.

Wacky this is the way a stud takes a challenge, sadly on this blog we are not all studs.  :frown:

He was probably still one of the best golfers (probably the best) in the world until the end of 2013. Not winning a major after 2009, and how bad everything was for him from 14-17 kind of makes it hard to see, though.

He's been pretty good this year. Remember, he has had a new swing for less than a year, so if he can stay healthy, I could see him winning some tourneys in the future.
