That's a wrap for now. They'll be interviewing players later and tonight on 810.

arthur brown was the best defensive player in the history of our program
i would say it was a push between him and tnew. its very close either way

i optimistically think this team can be as good as 12, but to rule it out is just silly

I'm not ruling it out. I'm saying that it's very unlikely and posting specific things they would have to live up to as reasons why. and I disagree strongly on the newman comparison. newman didn't have near the impact on games that arthur had.

You're speaking just defensively correct? Because Newman was either the 1st or 2nd best returner we have ever had.

ultimately, I think the okie lite game cost us the MNC in 2012. Klein was pretty sketty-brain'd shoulder'd after that game.

Klein was on 810, I believe last week, and said he damaged his shoulder.

Not saying that isn't the case, but I doubt he would say, "I was playing with sketty-brains".

Throwing shoulder is pretty important for a quarterback, I understand it isn't as buzz wordy though.

My guess is he either didn't make his flight or he has driven past the exit for 177 about a hundred times already and still can't figure out where the hell MHK is.

No prob. Also, dvonta's transcripts still have a hold on them cause he still owes money. Someone really needs to take care of this asap. Maybe if he didn't broadcast it all over twitter, this would have been no big deal.

I think you're right, it's much easier to take care of these issues if the whole world hasn't been informed that they exist. With that being said, as much as Bill pretends like he does everything by the book, crap like this usually gets taken care of if the player is important enough to the program. I'm sure he's got guys looking for "creative" solutions to this problem.

Quote
I live in Roseville, CA (suburb of Sacramento), where Taylor Laird, recent QB commitment, is from.  I was standing in line at a 7-11 the other day when I noticed that the young woman behind me was wearing a K-State t-shirt.  I told her I'm from Manhattan, lifelong K-State fan, etc., and then I asked her if she was a student at K-State.  She said no, but that her boyfriend, Taylor Laird, is the starting quarterback of the football team. I told her I thought Jake Waters would be the starter this year, and she said, "Yes, Jake is the starter this year, but Coach Snyder has already told Taylor he'll be the starter next year."  I just smiled and nodded.

Always good to have someone rooting for you...

2012 offense controlled the ball. we ran well. we threw well. chris was a first down catching machine. we don't have a proven big target when we have to get 7 yards. we're going to see shitloads more 3 and outs than we did in 2012.

yep, higher ceiling, but less consistency

dobber thinks that Jake has become more accustomed to Snyder's qb run game and is going to have a breakout season.

more accustomed to the run game? when? during spring practice/games where no one was allowed to tackle him or during summer 7 on 7 passing drills?

If we let a $1,700 juco bill become an issue at all, we don't belong at the top level.  We should just encourage everyone else to break away and play for NCs at whatever level Colorado St and Tulane play at.
