Word out of Vanier is that Prewitt is absolutely murdering our current WR core in 1 on 1's. Says nobody can shake him to get open, including TLBL.

Prewitt is going to be something special this year as a true frosh.

I wish I could believe this but I just can't get past the part where TLBL can't break away from a true freshman safety. I mean he made 1st round CBs look like trash.

Any chance he starts over Schellenberg?

I'd give my left nut for Prewett to be good enough to start at safety this year. Great scoop.

I'll think the real question is, is there any chance Shellenberg starts over Prewitt??

I'm telling you man, on all the technical routes (10 yards) and mid range stuff (15-25 yards), he's right there absolutely shredding our WR core.

I'm sure that if you told TLBL to just run the length of the field on a deep fly route that he'd break away toward the end. Prewitt's jam at the line has been solid and his recovery speed afterward is unprecedented for someone his age.

All in all, it's going to be a really special year for young Mr. Prewitt.

So Prewett is playing CB now? He was a safety in high school.

I'm not talking about straight speed I'm talking about the fact that Lockett is probably the best route runner we've ever had so he damn well better be able to get open against our true freshman safety. However, I will be very happy if Prewett starts over Schellenberg so thanks for the info!

If we have a FR DB who is so good that Bill has no choice but to start him, well, then...I'm ok with that.

If we don't have someone that is so good that Snyder has no choice but to start him over Schellenberg, then we are mumped.   I'm not okay with that. So I'd say this is very good news even if it's very exaggerated.

Correct, he's still a S. In 1 on 1's it doesn't matter if you're a CB or a S.

Apologies. I went to school with some guys of the last name of Prewitt so it's easy to mistype.

Wanna say he came in at semester.   Greyshirted for the spring and then redshirted in 09.  :dunno:
