According to espn Darren became the second player in NFL history with multiple games with a rushing and return TD in the same game. The first, Gayle Sayers :tsc:

And Sproles had a return today as well.

Say what!?   :surprised:

Sproles belongs in Canton. Doubtful that it happens, but he's as good at his role as there has ever been.

The best is when announcers call similar players "Darren Sproles types". He redefined a position on the field.

The Lockett KO return was great, but the Lockett fake punt return that Sherman actually returned was even better.

I love coaches stealing stuff. The Rams did the exact same return last year against Seattle. Utah used it last night too.

Utah carried that off really well.  I was fooled until the very end of the play.

2-3 more years of doing what he does and they won't be able to keep him out.

So blessed watching EMAW studs do stud things in the NFL. If Jordy was healthy we'd have even more TDs to talk about

Sproles is going to be top ten in all purpose yards before he retires. I think he's got a pretty good shot.

He has one Pro Bowl ever. Jordy has a better chance than Sproles.

He is about a thousand yards outside the top ten. I'd love to see him crack that list.

Brian Mitchell is #2 all time in APY and I don't think anyone believes he will be anywhere near the HOF. Sproles has the best all purpose season of all time, #2, Derrick Mason.

There's link on that same page to Carroll's press conference that you people can watch for the couple Lockett things.  It's a pain in the ass to get them in the same viakoffman youtubes I've got in process now of Lockett interviews w/local news types.

And of course, #acting.

i don't understand football all that well but i don't get how that happens with the sherman/lockett thing.
are the dudes not paying attention or what?  lockett was on the opposite side of the field from sherm.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

the bears kicked it to sherman and ran to lockett, none of it makes any sense and the play should probably be made illegal.

im confused as to why you are confused. the ball is above their heads, they cant see it, so if tyler acts like he is going to catch it the coverage team all run towards him

Sproles has better TD and Yards from scrimmage than Mason, and better return TD, yards, and averages than Mitchell. He is the ultimate hybrid and he's not done yet, HoF likely imo.

Just because punters are supposed to kick it toward one side or the other doesn't mean they will.  So, the coverage team watches what the return team does in reaction to the ball and adjusts to that.  That is why Sherman, though running back, waited to the last moment to reach for the ball.  (Sherman's catch was pretty good, that could have been easily muffed).
