I hate watching movies with girls because they don't pay attention and talk and ask a million questions, so maybe this guy just wanted some peace and quiet when watching a rough ridin' wolverine movie

I have seen all the X-Men movies so I know all the background and wouldn't need to ask a bunch of questions. Plus Hugh Jackman.

(Plus I watched the X-Men cartoons and I am very disappointed with the movies' treatment of my favorite character, Gambit.)

If it's any consolation I did not really pay attention to the movie over the banging hammers and saw motor noises up stairs. That shits distracting.

Wolverine wins at the end and you can see that coming from a mile away. You guys should try something less predictable, like Rocky.

Thanks for ruining it, bad person.

But I have seen all the other X-Men movies so I need to see this one just to complete the collection. Also, Hugh Jackman.

I think it'd only inconsiderate if they don't end up watching it with you at or spoil the ending.

Well after they already watched it, they are not going to sit through it again.

Does that say something about the quality of the movie, though?

I'd offer to sit through it again in this situation, but if the movie were really bad, I'd mention that and try to save you a couple of hours.

Not inconsiderate.
Mrs Schreds goes to movies all the time with her dad.  This is a win/win for me.  First, I don't have to spend time around my F-I-L who annoys the eff out of me (see socially awkward situs thread).  Second, I don't have to go sit by some bad person (probably my F-I-L) who's chomping his damn popcorn for 1 1/2 hours watching a movie I don't want to see in the first place.  If it's a movie I want to watch, I just wait till it comes out on demand or Netflix and she can watch it again with me if she chooses to.

Well Wolverine doesn't age so timeline sequencing shouldn't matter.

If it was a porno you both have watched (spin-off of a series of movies has to be a porn) then yea, totally inconsiderate.  If it wasn't a porn, meh.

In this case you did not already agree to watch the movie with her. Not the same situation at all.

You are right Gooch.  It is a little inconsiderate, but you take the good with the bad.  I have seen a flick that my sig other wanted to see with me that I forgot I said I would take her to without her many times.  It explains why I cycle through ladies quarterly.  Don't take my behavior as neurotic, it is more the fact that I don't care.  Two different things entirely.

Was it the one where Wolverine gets his claws cut off by the big, shiny samurai robot?

It isn't a big deal to the plot.  Wolverine without claws is not a big deal.

What about the part where he can't heal because that lizard chic took his powers from him? Is that significant to the plot?
