When you have previously discussed a movie you want to watch, and even suggested that the two of you watch it together...and then your significant other just watches it without you when you are not home. Is that ok or are they being inconsiderate?

I was on a long flight to England and watched a couple of movies my wife and I discussed watching. It was a very very long flight.

It was on (but half way over) on one of the pay channels (HBO, etc.) about 2 days prior (that's when the discussion happened) - and therefore available for viewing at any time on demand.

i mean, if you guys talked about wanting to watch the movie together and then one of you just up and watched it alone then yeah i guess that's kind of jerky. still trying to wrap my head around the thought of having a discussion about what movies you'd like to watch together though.

It wasn't a discussion like "Here's a list of movies we will watch together." It was more like this:

"Hey look that movie is on that we haven't seen, but it is half way over. We could watch it on demand though and watch the whole movie."

"Later, I don't want to invest that much time in a movie right now."

"OK, we will watch it later together."

hmmm. and then one of you just up and ordered it and watched it alone? yeah that sounds kind of jerky. also was it rocky III? that and the other rockys were on yesterday. man that clubber lang was not a nice person.

It was not a Rocky movie. But it was a movie that was a sequel to a spin-off of a series of movies, which we have seen all the other ones of, and which we just went to see one of them recently together in the theatre.
