IIRC, DD said in a GPC article that he would sometime be out wide covering the oppositions best WR. If nothing else he could be counted on to sub out for a guy like Will Davis in obvious passing downs?

I believe Garden CC ran a 3-4 last year, that could really hurt the learning curve.

Couldn't really find much, except "Derricott graduated from Hermitage High School (VA) in 2012"

so assuming that's accurate, with him playing at GCCC as a FR and SO., that would put him at 3x2.

If he graduated in Spring 2012, his clock started fall of 2012.

2012: FR
2013: SO
2014: Redshirt
2015: JR
2016: SR

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see him redshirt. In fact, I'd encourage it.

I really don't think that there is a chance in hell we redshirt a 4 star JUCO LB when we only have 1 returning LB that has any experience.

Definitely Fatafehi. Many a KST tard might try to say someone like Reese but he was a liability against really good, physical interior OL play (see Colorado). I feel that the guy we had at nose in '11 was dominant w/ respect to owning the A gaps on running plays but in only that sense and in only that season. Clinkscales, ability wise, is the first player I've been excited about in terms of owning those gaps vs the run AND having the ability to bull rush and bow plays into the backfield. He is definitely a power guy. The question now becomes how hard he works and how passionate will he play?

That will be the determining factor. We all know there is a chance he could be a total wash out. Let's hope not.
