Potential Star Trek discussion (for those with ST avatars)
« on: August 26, 2013, 09:22:41 PM »
In the middle of season 6 of TNG on Netflix.  Not sure why I've never gotten around to watching this stuff.  The Worf+Son episodes were so bad I liked them.

When I was young my parents let me stay up late and watch TNG like it was some kind of special educational programming

The public library had the old movies on VHS.  Free rentals, so I watched a bunch during the summer.

I haven't really seen all the episodes but my mom and her dad would go get ice cream and watch the original series every (Friday?) night when she was a kid.  seemed like it was his bonding time or whatevs so various fam members go visit him in Denver around the time movies come out and we go see them.  sometimes he falls asleep in the theaters and its kinda dorky but he enjoys it a lot

Fiscally sound plan.

This describes my summers about 20 years ago.

Really enjoy watching Star Trek TNG and Deep Space Nines last couple seasons (only during the off season.

I am trying to watch the all of the original but the first season is pretty crappy at times and I haven't went through it all yet.

With this whole title town thing it will pretty much shut me down until after the College World Series. Darn you Brad Hill!  :shakesfist:

Yeah, my next task is all the TNG movies then I have to start digging into Deep Space 9.  There's like this mountain of Trek stuff I've never touched in my life and thanks to the interwebs it's a mountain I'm climbing.  Wish me luck.

Honestly I picked my guy because he was in "Stand By Me". One of my favorite movies and I really liked his character as a kid.

My mom has plates with Capt. Picard's face on them, or she used to at least. Haven't seen them lately.

I picked my guy because his haircut looks like the initiation pics of some our wild Wildcats.
