My Brazilian colleague was telling me how they chant in unison "son of a bitch" but only in Portuguese. They also chant something implying the ref is gay. He said it's tradition.

agreed. im not condoning it and agree fifa should calm their tits about this to an extent but apparently its a big deal considering the players are mostly over dramatic anyway.
