I have alterior motives to talking about grub burger bar, but the restaurant eatery discussion on gE is somewhat limited to KC, Topeka, Wichita, and Manhattan.

For our gE friends in College Station, Houston, Dallas, and now ATLANTA, do yourselves a favor and try out grub burger bar. Quite possibly the best hamburger you will ever eat, but don't take my word for it, try it and report back!

Kind of. bro tho. Anyway, he got his first one open. Opening up his second in November. They are also going to be moving into Philly.

Let me tell you right now that the TCU pak is pretty much going to be the best pak ever, and you are certainly invited. I think it will be a step up from what we did in Austin, due to proximity.

Everything is made fresh: buns, sauces, fries, oniion rings. Hamburger is ground on site. Order in line, but receive full table service. It is a new concept.

I have had the Guacapotle, Thai Peanut, and You're My Boy Bleu. On my next visit, I will be trying either the Ghost Burger or the VooDoo Mushroom.

IT IS NOT BUGS!!!

FWIW, I did look at the website and it looks good. I would eat there if they ever make it up closer to Kansas.

Feel free. In my situation, I tip very well- family and such. I think they have a jar when you order and pay at the register. You could also leave money on the table if you wanted to.

PROTIP: Set at the bar and receive full service.

you're supposed to tip before you receive service?  or that's just you saying people are able to do so if they wish to?

how much are the employees paid?

a place called BurgerFi opened in leawood, it's pretty good.  burgers remind me of in and out, the fries remind me of five guys but they're actually good, not complete crap.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

agree that tipping before receiving product or service is the worst of both worlds

I don't know. I can find out, but I probably shouldn't divulge that info. Don't tip unless you think it is deserved. Only tipping at the table is probably what most people do.

BurgerFi is pretty decent. grub is a full 3 steps better. Also, funny thing, BurgerFi has really good hotdogs!

cash tips don't show up on your cc receipt so then you aren't reimbursed for them when you turn in your receipts.

pay and table service is an awkward tipping arrangement is what i'm noticing.

For those of you that haven't gone to the site ( grubburgerbar.com ) you may be interested to know that the hamburger is ground fresh daily on site and it is a mixture of brisket and chuck. A regionally famous chef in TX helped make the menu.

So are you supposed to tip at McAllister's? I don't think I usually do.

So you are eating on the company, but you are that worried about the tip?
We have tipping limits at work as well. I have pulled a $20 out of my own pocket and left it with the receipt when I get really great service/food. I guess what I am saying is Trim 3:16, but man, don't be such a tight as about tipping!
