it's pretty common for society to label those who have to limit how much alcohol they buy at one time, because they won't stop drinking until it is gone, as alcoholics. regardless, most people realize at a certain point that things that happen when they blackout are not good, so they either learn to cut themselves off, develop a control or completely abstain. it takes a lot more for some people to learn this compared to others.

Do that thing where you tell me I'm drunk again, because this time I am.

i still don't get the worries of the OP. are you saying stuff you regret later? are you drunk driving? are you acting the fool 24/7? what's the root of the problem here. because 100% of people on planet earth drink as much as they can get away with without encountering judgment or whatever

Not really any of those things, but blacking out presents an opportunity to do something very regrettable. Trying not to cross that bridge. I'm really not that worried about it though. I've got some controls I'm going to put in place to limit the chances of it happening again.

OP's friends should do him a fav and put a gun in his hand, a gas station bag full of $1s, $5s, and quarters in his other hand, a skimask bunched up on top of his head once he passes out and just let him wake up with all that.

Prob solved
