I'd rather starve than eat "mexican" "food" from Kites/Rusty's.

You need to open up to change bud, that food is actually pretty excellent.  It isn't some college flunkies trying to make tacos like at Kites or Tubbys or Porters. . .it is an actual family run kitchen and is on par with other Manhattan authentic mexican.

I was unaware at how refined your palate was. You may be the only person I know that would bitch about a .50 taco.  :Ugh:

I have been to pizza ranch once an found it serviceable.  I personally think cicis is disgusting and PR is much better.

Being from Hutch and having visited Garden City multiple times I feel like I have a respectable authority on authentic mexican food.  In this case Rusty's did it right and got a real menu together.  It's also a niche that Aggieville hadn't filled yet.

dont mind porters tacos one bit. $0.50 cents, man. you know what you signed up for. its baked ground beef, some out of a bag lettuce and cheese with a side of scooped out of giant bucket salsa.

its salty, and 50 cents. id eat that any day of the week.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Everytime a Mexican place calls itself "authentic" I take that to mean that it is not, in fact, authentic. It's kind of like when you see a motel advertise color TV.

I'm sure rusty's buys the same SYSCO MEXICAN RESTAURANT KIT that pretty much every other mexican restaurant has too.

(havent tried, but the food and menu look the same as any other standard issue mexican restaurant.)

Every time I see an "authentic" Mexican restaurant I know exactly what I'm getting because they are all exactly the same. The only variables are usually the quality of margaritas and gaudiness of the decor.
