I can usually make it more than 1 month into the season before needing a break, but this team is really testing me right now. 1 for mfing 14 with runners in scoring position. It is a FACT that if you would have trotted out a little league team instead of the Mets the last 3 games...the little league team would have only scored 2 fewer runs than the Mets in those 3 games. The Phillies pitcher scored more runs swinging and missing at strike 3 for the 3rd out of the inning, than the entire Mets team did in 9 innings. I just

It's crazy bad.  We might be better off just never swinging.

to improve morale one of the players (they won't say who) showed up calling himself Donnie Stevenson. (Dom Smith might be the obvious choice b/c same initials, but my theory is that it was Pete Alonso b/c Pete is a silly goose). Anyway, not much is known about Donnie other than his favorite song is Takin Care of Business and his hitting philosophy is "rippin' heaters".

Ever since Donnie showed up they have started to actually score some runs so that's cool. Lindor is the only one who is still white hot dog crap at the plate, Pete has shown the most dramatic improvement but really everyone not named Francisco Lindor is hitting a lot better.

Probs part of the reason Chili got fired...when one of the players decides to take over being the hitting coach and immediately they get dramatic results...doesn't surprise me that Chili was in the hot seat.

Thanks. I saw the shadowed out version of Donnie on the Mets broadcast and assumed that was the gist of it. Also please refrain from further slander of Royals legend Chili Davis

I'm going to visit my Bro-in-Law when the Nationals are playing the Mets in NYC sometime this summer...any advice on what to do, where to go, place to avoid at the Mets Stadium?

Try and wait until late August when you can catch a Mets game then walk across the parking lot to the US Open, the coolest sporting event you'll likely ever see.

Phils and Braves game Saturday night was insane. Also Phils are really trying to establish themselves as the most punchable team in the league, maybe even in all of baseball
