they have a lot of old players that probably won't all have good years next year, though. also they have lots of pitchers, who just break apart randomly from one year to another.

True, its probably not fair to make the assumption, but I think most people are since it was his boat.

The fact of the matter is it was a horrible tragedy, there is nothing more to it then that. Whoever was driving wasn't paying attention to the GPS that tells you where stuff is on the water.

the cubs have already proven the spot atop the league of nationalists. getting the win against an american major league pitcher was really good, even if he was technically maimed a little bit. and one of their other games was closeish, which is pretty amazing as well.

You know, I agree. I can't seem to get over the idea of all the douchey wanna be Cubs fans I have met over the years.
I have known LOADS of corporate Chicago eff holes who have loads of cash and just like to be fashionable and claim to be Cubs "fans."

There are so many other reasons to like the Cubs (Second City folks, etc.), but I just can't do it. I think it's a character defect of mine.
