maybe all the rizzos have to play baseball and it's not a nom de plume at all and also that's why you never see them at work.

curly is probably what they call curveballs in italian. so the original rizzos were pitchers, it sounds like.

not having any pinch runners when you let pitchers hit is by far the best reason for designated hitters. but it somehow never gets brought up in the discussions of how come the national league sucks.
