I would not have a hard time believing that Waters is our third best quarterback.

Huh?

Eh, I take as a good sign that everyone is optimistic and excited for the season.

So, I'm happy about that.  If we're arguing over backups, it's a good time to be a KSU fan.

Last year would certainly suggest otherwise.   Waters was very solid the last half of the season.   IF Ertz is that good, a move to WR is best for Sams and the Wildcats.  Love Sams athleticism, he needs to be on the field almost every snap.

Sams should switch to basketball. He could probably play the point better than Jevon.

Why do we think he'd actually play much at WR? We already have athletic players at those positions who have been training as WR for years, and it sounds like the staff likes Burton and Jones.

I'm fully of the belief that if it weren't for #16, DSams would be the starter.

I think I've made my peace with the fact our fanbase doesn't deserve Sams. But I will never understand why people think Lockett makes Waters significantly better, but Lockett doesn't make Sams better.
I think what he was saying is that Waters makes Lockett that much "better".....or rather "more effective".

I think the main argument is Sams didn't play much or consistently with Lockett and Thompson on the field. It seemed like he could have had even more success with them than he already had. The two games he received most PT were OSU and Baylor, and Lockett left early 2nd quarter at OSU.

Honestly, I'm not sure if LHCBS wanted Sams to go to WR. I think Bill realized that Sams is a much better athlete than waters and can play other positions where as Waters is only good at QB and both are so good that we need both on the field therefore we had Sams be the athlete he is and Waters be the QB he is. We were going to take a hit no matter what, but putting Sams and Waters on the field together is better for our offense than only having one on the field. It also messes with defenses because they have no idea what he's going to do. We could run a bubble screen and Sams break away or we could run a fake bubble from waters to Sams with a deep pass from Sams to Lockett in the endzone. Either way, it's a win win for us cats fans.

yeah, a bright spot here is that when we break huddle we can just run to the line with sams at QB and have waters go stand in the corner but they've already got, like, 7 DBs on the field and sams just trucks all of them into the endzone and we all just go nuts with partys.

Last year would certainly suggest otherwise.   Waters was very solid the last half of the season.   IF Ertz is that good, a move to WR is best for Sams and the Wildcats.  Love Sams athleticism, he needs to be on the field almost every snap.

I agree with this.  Sams is very athletic for a QB, but I haven't seen anything to suggest that he will be a fantastic receiver.  I think we are best if Sams plays 2-3 series per game in our QB run package.  Teams then have to prepare for that package in addition to the plays we tend to run when Waters is QB.  I think this is what Snyder wants.  But I don't think it is what Sams wants, unfortunately.

Also, with the defense I anticipate us having in 2015, I think our best option at QB is Sams in 2015.  Avoid turnovers and pound the ball.  Sams could run that offense.
