What I want to know is, where what Jonathon Mincy while all this was going on?!?!  Are we to believe that Nick Marshall is not a "team player" and wasn't sharing his bud with somebody that clearly likes to smoke too?

I try not to be hasty in making judgments on how coaches handle these things.  The best way to judge is to look at a classy coach, say Gary Patterson, and think about how he would respond.

The best thing Gus can do for the player is to sit him until conf play.  Does he care about his players or W's?

This young man needs to realize that this stuff won't fly in the real world. Gus needs to think about this young man's future. A three game suspension should instill those intrinsic values he seems to be lacking.

Considering they open the season against Arkansas, I don't think Gus would have any problem doing that.

What gives Auburn the best chance to win? A drugged up Nick, or a "knows the play book" backup? That is what Gus will probably consider. Sad, but so true.
What is Nick's @? We really should encourage him to seek help, it's the 1cat way.

Yeah, the cat fan in me wants Marshall to play because we would easily beat a team with a QB who is so high on dope that he can't even remember what play was called, let alone what section of the playbook it is in. The good human part of me wants Marshall to go to rehab and get help, though. He is too young to let that smack take a hold of him.

We should write ESPN a letter and ask if they can provide live coverage of the pre-game festivities.
