I was taught at an early age to always cheer for Anericans during the Ryder cup. I heard my grandpa and dad cuss up Ernie from an early age, because his story is so uninteresting. Spoiled rich kid. Euro, unlikeable face.

WC08, you do know Ernie Els isn't European, right, and therefore has never played in a Ryder Cup?

Did you notice the age difference after 77 starts? Spieth is two years younger. Plus, majors are all that matter. If anyone catches Jack in Major victories, they'll be thought of as the best.

Yes, I knew that. I was making my point of rooting against non-Americans by watching the Ryder cup growing up. Ernie was a spoiled rich kid, so was/is Sergio.

I asked if Speith was currently as good as peak tiger, which IMO would have been probably the three year span of 1999-2001. He might achieve that kind of domination but he isn't even close to that level currently. I think I just forgot how damn good tiger was at his peak.

I just can't see hating a player because he's a rich kid not from US.

After walking several rounds of PGA tournament play, I can honestly say there's not one player on tour I dislike.

Fair. He cooled down at the end of last year. I think he could be more consistent with major victories and surpass Tiger before 40. Tiger got bored, tried to change his swing, bulk up, etc. Then his personal life happen.
