I want to talk about this so bad but I don't want to give spoilers, even though it's a documentary.

Watched Ep1 last night and so far the show seems to be mostly about using an obviously mentally ill person as a focal point without talking about the fact that she is obviously mentally ill(yet, at least).  I mean, sure, the rest of the story is crazy so far, but a whole lot of the crazy is being added by an obviously mentally ill person.

According to the DSM-5, sociopathy, or more appropriately, antisocial personality disorder is a mental illness. As is narcissistic personality disorder. And like many mental health conditions more often than not the person is experiencing other mental health concerns congruently. Most often depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

Finally those 3 years I taught high school psychology are paying off.

Why do you think she's any more mentally disturbed than the litany of other animal weirdos out there? There are people who view dogs the way that she views chimps.

There's a hilarious yet very disturbing scene in episode 2 about her love for a chimp and how she thinks it's reciprocated.

Just finished season two of The Serpent Queen on STARZ.   Very good if you like period pieces. It’s about Catherine de Medici, French Queen and Queen Mother during Catholic/Protestant wars of the 16th century.  My wife was like “they ripped off the red wedding from Game of Thrones”. Except the St. Bartholomew’s Massacre was something that actually happened.

Yeah, that was completely fake, sociopathic. She's definitely crazy, but not committable, just the type of crazy that would make you cross the street if she's walking in your direction.

How can the filmmakers claim they didn't know she was hiding Tonka when they clearly showed footage of her taking Tonka to that dude in Ohio and visiting him? That doesn't make sense, at all. Also the timing of them turning her in to PETA is appears to be suspect as hell. She clearly has her issues but something about these filmmakers isn't sitting right with me, seems like them turning her in was only for this doc, like a contrived version of The Jinx, but for a chimp lover.

They dug up Ricky, mentioned that he already had cut Ricky’s head off, transported an “80%” decomposed body two states over, and used it to fake the death of another chimp, then laughed about it while standing on Ricky’s grave!
