That was great! Tristan might be our favorite character. I really like Helen and Mrs Hall in the remake. After the radiant Carol Drinkwater left the original, the women were lifeless. Enjoy the way that Mrs Hall keeps "the boys" on track and dishes out tough love as needed.

Season 2 is better

Ziggy is an absurd character.  He's obviously repugnant, but even regular characters just roll their eyes at him and are like "oh, Ziggy..."

yeah I probably watched it 15 or so years ago (WILD) but he stood out as a bit over the top when I thought about it.

I totally believe that.  The ubiquity of beepers (even though they acknowledge that the use is intentionally archaic) and novelty of police using computers makes that pretty apaprent.

It's also strange hearing 9/11 being repeatedly referred to as "9-1-1."  Guess the branding of that hadn't really been established quite yet.

Hey, i'd watch this one maybe. I saw her once at the Midland. She closed for Amy Schumer when she used to be sort of funny. She went in to a song and dance routine and flashed the audience. I didn't think she was too funny, but it was a good time.

I also got my first exposure of Bridget from Amy Schumer, and I was thrilled to see she's a townie. I think I feel similar to you about her. When I see her stand up, I can acknowledge that it's entertaining but it's just not for me. That being said I think I'll like her better scripted and I'll definitely watch this.

I essentially said that I might watch because of the prospect of a bunch of women behaving badly, but I don't understand how the concept would work and it has the potential to offend a lot of people.
