I've only watched the Wire once all the way through, but I did not enjoy S2 as much. However, the Wire Hipsters will sing you a different tune.

Am I the only one that doesn't watch much TV? I'm not judging or one of those assholes that brags about not having a TV. I have one in every room of my house including the rough ridin' kitchen. I even have one that I sit in the basement and when its nice outside, I take it out to the patio. I often realize though, that I never watch it aside from some sports. I read this thread all the time and think, that looks like a good show, but I never do it. I do go to bed pretty early which is most likely the reason, but I just can't drum up the motivation to start a show. Am I weird?

No, I realize that I haven't really intensely watched a show in a long time. Maybe Succession was the last one? But I cancelled HBO after Season 2 and haven't started back up since.

One that has me firmly by the balls and came highly recommended by steve dave is Squawk on the Street. It is highly informative, gets pretty good and often elite guests, but is also a complete irresponsible shitshow. It is now part of my morning routine when I WFH.

Also season 3 of Joe Pera is of course wonderful but not quite the emotional roller coaster of season 2. which is great, it doesn't need to be!

Same. The only shows I even consider are ones where I don't have to pay a ton of attention too. Shows like Succession sound interesting, but they seem exhausting.

I’m the same, I binge & burn out. I watched 6 episodes of Righteous Gemstones & was done. I’m on episode 7 of Sopranos & haven’t kept going. Got 5 episodes into The Wire & didn’t think it was half as good as everyone says. Stopped halfway through season 2 of Ted Lasso because I didn’t like most of the new stories.

I watched the first season of True Detective. I enjoyed it, but would have liked it more if it was 5 episodes. I probably won’t watch anymore TV for awhile. In a few weeks I might watch Chernobyl since it’s only 5 episodes.

Also, I’d highly recommend Waco because it’s only 6 episodes, but it looks like your only option is to buy just the series to stream on Amazon/Google/YoiuTube/Vudu.

This was the last show I watched and I enjoyed the crap out of it. Not sure how they do a season 2, but I will prob check it out.

I think there's a ton of ways they could go with season 2. I don't think it needs to be the same cast to keep going.

one of the fun things for when I was home visiting my folks over the holidays...i log in to my dad's netflix and there are all these recommended shows that i was completely unaware of. I'm sure at one point I had been made aware of Frontier but never watched. Decided to go ahead and give it a whirl and man, that was fun and intense. Bummer there are only 3 seasons and each season is only 6 epis, but i've binged the crap out of it and will watch the last epi tonight after putting the kiddo to bed.

yeah I probably watched it 15 or so years ago (WILD) but he stood out as a bit over the top when I thought about it.

Did you know the first episode of the Wire aired in 2002???????
