Been rewatching the Wire. I still like season 2 a lot, but I think season 3 is probably the best season. I don’t know if I will make it through 4-5 with the kids (the kids/school story line is very good) but with the awful newspaper storyline.

Finished my binge of The Wire last night. Wow. What a ride. So many great characters! At this point I can't decide between S2 or S3 as my favorite one. Agree on season 5, it just felt a little off somehow and there were only 10 episodes when the others all had 12 or 13.

It's so impressive. I feel like that has to be so mentally exhausting, especially staying on the same track as your partner for the entire show.

Glad Middleditch got to show off more facets of his comedy than just the awkward guy from Verizon and Silicon Valley.

I enjoyed Dracula on Netflix. Three part show. the last part is not as good as the first two, but still amusing.

The Plot Against America was a ride. The only reason I watched after episode 1 was because of David Simon. I knew it would pick up, come together, and make perfect sense. The characters were all great and the story was fantastic. I think this was my first historical fiction show, Treme kinda fits but not really, and I liked it. My only beef with the show is that Simon could have been more subtle with what he was illustrating with the show. This didn't have some coincidental parallels with our current political environment, it was just a straight dollar for dollar rip off of some of the things we argue about now. This was most apparent with the election day scene that wraps up the show. I guess when he's only working with five hours instead of several seasons, there isn't much time for subtlety. Anyway, it's pretty obvious this show is going to get a lot of Emmy nominations.

Just caught up on Better Call Saul and I agree with this. The show is fine but it’s not really clear what it’s trying to be. Shouldn’t really be at the top of the list of any genre but also kind of unfair to treat it like it needs to be close to breaking bad to be considered good.

Went through the first season (so far) of Dave at your recommendations. Really enjoyable. I see some of Stevesie in him.

Dave’s finale killed. So happy for him. One of my favorite artist oat. Also, recs and parks special was pretty damn good as well. What a show and a cast of Characters!

Not a show, but I've been watching a ton of boxing on YT lately. Currently watching all Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfeild bouts starting w Tyson's loss to Douglas and Holyfield's KO of Douglas.

Pretty hilarious. Most of Tyson's only last a few rounds. EVERY Holyfield bout goes the distance. The Bowe v Holyfield saga is awesome. I can't get enough of the HBO broadcasts with Lampley and George Foreman, etc.
