Finally watched the Leftovers pilot last night. Agree with the very weird and meh of it. I'll probably give it a few more episodes though to see if it can hook me.

Regardless of whether it's good or now, this is a pretty crappy exchange in that Sunday evening time slot. GOT/Veep/Silicon Valley to True Blood/The Leftovers   :Yuck:. At least I still have John Oliver.

Just started watching True Detective.  I'm sure this has already been covered, but Matthew Mcconaughey looks like Bill Freakin' Nye these days.

Word is that when Matt Mc lost all that weight for the AIDS movie (we can be flippant about AIDS, South Park said so), that the massive weight loss killed his good looks forever. Like, he won't get it back. Shame really.

Yea I tried to watch that episode and just shut it off half way through. Just horrible.
