Does anyone realize how stacked our roster is for the next two seasons. Guys, I can smell it , super excited
We really should be happy we won as many games as we did last year considering everybody expected our defense to be worse than it actually was.
Let's get a couple key juco guys on campus this summer first before we proclaim this as "the year"

Quote from: EMAWzified on March 24, 2014, 12:52:33 PMWas our past defensive scheme a means to cover holes? Maybe with more talent on the field, it will be more aggressive. I'm expecting an 8-4 season. This team should be about 1 win better than last year's team.beat auburn and its going to be special, lose close and we probably get a share of the pepper, get blown out and 8 wins are a struggle. that game will set the tone for the season(i think we win it )I really don't like the way our defensive philosophy matches up with an offense like Auburn's. I think the game will be pretty similar to our game against OU last year.i think our offense against their speed on defense is more troubling but i see your point. its got to be "come out and smash their faces off" miami style game for sure but i think we are capable of thatI'm not sure what you mean by holes? its almost impossible to field defenses that can stop these air raid offenses throughout a game (look at bamavsou) we had some solid defense the last couple of years but replacing tre should make us better immediately and now we have sustained good corner play over the past few seasons. The only questions I have are depth, safety, and maybe dline. i think all three of those will be on par or better than last year. but im a sunshine pumper in the spring, always have been

we have one good player (lockett)
Luke's stock is rising as Winters continues to validate his greatness. Add Luke and Winters to my list! Also, EMAWBLAST! and Tobias!
Our schedule this year is extremely exciting. I don't know if I can hold it all in..

8. QB Daniel Sams: KSU is exploring ways to use the dynamic Sams, but there’s no question he’s too talented to leave on the sidelines. He could line up at multiple positions this fall after being responsible for 15 touchdowns in 2013, tied for sixth in the Big 12. His 5.31 yards per touch from scrimmage was easily the conference’s best among quarterbacks.

6. QB Jake Waters: The senior is coming off a strong end to his first season with the Wildcats. His 66 adjusted QBR (on a scale of 0-100, with 50 being average) ranked seventh in the Big 12, but his 81 adjusted QBR in November and December was better than every Big 12 quarterback except Oklahoma State's Clint Chelf and Texas Tech's Davis Webb.
I like his 81 adjusted QBR better than his 66 adjusted QBR, for what it's worth.
Quote from: MadCat on March 31, 2014, 02:41:41 PMI like his 81 adjusted QBR better than his 66 adjusted QBR, for what it's worth. That was only for a selected portion of the season. Every QB would have a better QBR if you were to pick and choose their best games.
