I really don't understand why a lot of people seem to be against people on welfare being tested for drugs.

Don't really care about the drugs part, but I think if you receive assistance, your kids should have to meet a min gpa and attendance in school, or no assistance that month.

They should test the owners of companies who receive government subsidies. The tests should also include opiate levels in the body to see if they are abusing prescription drugs.

Fair is fair right?

The Bush family, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld all had moneyed interest in companies that benefitted from the Iraq war.

While we're being controversial, people who have their lives together should be able to do whatever the eff drugs they want.

A lot of  :Rusty::cyclist:, and latent (/overt)  :opcat: ITT.

I think live music is wildly overrated, and almost always prefer recorded music.

Depends on the venue and who it is.

My local coffee shop has musicians play on the weekends and I can tell that their sound is enhanced by their presence in the room.

I would support it if it were cost-effective.

KC, I never took you as an ignorant one.

Think about it a little and then do a little research.

True, but the majority of Americans don't have direct ties, carry substantial interests, or control foreign policy.

If you are the former CEO of a defense contractor, and once you get into office and award that same contractor after your outright manipulation of affairs then you have been involved in a major conflict of interest on top of being a despicable human being.

There's a reason we get involved all over the world, and a lot of it has to do with making a small minority (MIC) very very rich.
