Confession time: until the Xavier game, Denis was my favorite cat on the team.

Confession time part deux: after the Xavier game, Denis was still my favorite cat on that team. Jake made it a close race though.

Has there been a better college basketball player since Denis?  I'm not sure.

There were so many fun parts to his game.  A joy to watch.

I remember the first time I saw Denis.   I was up on the concourse of in the SEZ of BSFS near the funnel cake line (may have been turkey leg).  Anyway... I'm paying particular attention to Bill Walker, Michael Beasley, and I think Ron Anderson, who are approaching the line.  From about 20 feet away a little guys starts yelling in Beasley/Walker's direction and they stop. I look to see who it is.  I've never seen this person before but I realize it has to be Denis.  He talks for like 10 seconds and then just looks at the guys.  Walker looks at him for a while.  Looks at Beaz.  Shrugs his shoulders and they keep walking away from Denis.  Denis waits for a bit... then turns around and goes away in the opposite direction.  I'll never forget it.

and I'll NEVER forget.  "WALLLLEEEEE!!!!!"

His transition game is what I remember the most but watching that video reminds me of how much I loved him taking random 3 pointers from 2 ft behind the line. When he was on, those shots were a thing of beauty.

There's Denis parts in the PW video where if you didn't know better, you'd think the video was in fast forward.

That 09-10 team was the greatest combination of lovable characters and basketball we'll ever see.

Denis heat check 3s were fantastic.

I've noticed that sometimes Foster will take a heat check shot which I also like.
