At this point, I'll take a 1st round win and go from there. I can be okay with this season with a win in the tornament.
I know what you really mean but I hope we aren't playing in the first round

the first round is played in Dayton on Tuesday & Wednesday of the tournament, 2 games of 12 seeds & 2 games of 16 seeds; also known as "The First Four"
It's not maddening, it's just annoying. Every year we do a family NCAA tourney bracket and let's just say some of the relatives only have a passing interest in basketball until the NCAA tourney comes up. It was much easier to explain the "play in" scenario as compared to the 1st round. The sweet nieces, aunts and cousins who don't really follow this stuff day-to-day seemed to understand straight off why the "play in" games weren't part of the bracket, now, almost every year, the "1st Round" has to be explained as to why those games aren't in the bracket.
It is, what it is MIR.
