True Detective Finale Thread
« on: March 07, 2014, 01:55:09 PM »
I've been doing a lot of google searching for theories and clues for the finale.  I haven't been this excited about a season finale in a very long time..maybe ever.

favorite theories?  Also, what's up with the boat at the end of epi 7?  Seemed like it must be important, because they held that shot for a really, really long time to get to it.

I was under the impression that the dudes were on the boat that floated by at the end. Was that not the same boat?

I thought it was going to be the same boat when the shot started but it wasn't.

Weird. Seems pretty pointless to have had it then.

Yes, I thought so too. Here's a picture of each boat. I'm pretty sure they are not the same.

Whatever your theory is, it has to account for them going out of their way to show that Woody's kid used to play with dolls in group sex situations, and was later busted having a three way with two dudes.

Yup, they both have to die... but heres the twist: the cult is real.  These aren't just crazy well-connected pedo's, they are honest-to-overlord minions of a dark master.  Marty and Rust gets swallowed by the dark one, mighty Cthulhu.

This isn't big bang theory, this has been an 8 episode story from the start.

It's been known from the beginning that each season is different characters/different stories.

there's probably not a big twist or surprise coming.  they'll probably kill some dudes and then go drink some lone star.
