yeah, went from late 80's ny giants-esque ILLINOIS (20 years later) to 1LL1NO1S. it already looks outdated. or trying too hard.

while i hated the white-kid-in-max-factor dancing chief, i did like the old chief logo. both were taken away, so we pretty much have a letter and a state name to work with.

ADJC has done a good job of consolidating the athletics side of the brand.

Illinois with a complete rebranding. The block "I" will be prominent.

Personally not a fan of the Illinois changes.  I hate the rounded corners on the inside of the block I.  The new wordmarks are decent but now that someone posted the 1LL1N1 stuff I can't get away from seeing that.  The only thing I like that secondary logo on with the stripes is the soccer uniforms.  That was 18 months for pretty much nothing.  Illinois has really good in-house graphic designers that honestly could have done a lot better job.

Is "Family" a national K-State brand at this point? The 2013 Fiesta Bowl is the only thing that comes to mind that was nationally watched. Possibly the '12 game against Texas. But good grief we are beating this thing to death.
