ku should still be a strong favorite for the final 4. Not making it that far would be a pretty bitter disappointment.

Makes sense considering spreads aren't predictions. Lots of ku homers are about to lose their farms.

Embiid said he's not yet thinking about the decision just moments after watching the Jayhawks get knocked out of the NCAA tournament with a loss to Stanford in the round of 32.

"I'm not worried about that right now," Embiid said.

Embiid sat out the end of the regular season and missed the Big 12 and NCAA tournaments with a nagging back injury. He said he could have played on Sunday against the Cardinal, but that the doctors and Kansas staff wanted him to rest until the Sweet 16.

"I would have played in the Sweet 16," he said after the loss. "Definitely. ... I could have played today."

"It was pretty hard watching them lose," he added. "I felt like I could have helped, but it is what it is."

Embiid was considered the frontrunner to be taken No. 1 overall in June's NBA draft prior to the back injury. According to multiple NBA executives, Embiid's draft stock will likely be determined by the medical evaluations on his back. However, it's unlikely he'd drop out of the top three picks -- unless the tests come back with alarming news.

Also, the only source they mentioned specifically said they don't know if it's a broken foot, but the headline reads "reportedly suffers broken foot." Am I missing something?

now that embiid is gone from silo tech and we look at his nba potential, the question that needs to be answered is who will have had the larger impact in the nba, embiid, or greg oden? when it's all said and done, coin flip?
