Coaching at your alma mater would suck. If it doesn't work out, there will always be a dark cloud over you; if it works out and you want to go to the NBA (Fred) you'd be hated by fans for leaving, despite what you gave to the school. If I was a coach, I'd never want to coach at my alma mater.
