Not sure if this gem from the scout board has been posted yet

I would rather place 5th and beat KU than place 2nd and lose to KU.  Weber seemed to use some of this game to teach the kids.  He went for the win against KU.  It is clear that playing Thomas was a learning experience, even though it probably cost us our lead.

Some parts of our fanbase is so losery that it hurts.

so oscar doesn't bear any responsibility for missed FTs?  who does?  the players?  what the hell are we paying oscar for?

Sorry didn't realize that oscar Weber was out there shooting free throws. I think that he just needs to get playing time figured out.

wut? Didn't you, just 6 days ago, throw a tantrum on here about chanting eff ku? Weren't you one of the people saying that chant is ok because it's KU? So the emphasis on KU is okay as a justification to act like an unsophisticated savage but not okay in this instance? Makes perfect sense.

Maybe it's not that we're extra bad on the road, but that we're just not that good in general and we're getting home wins off the emotion of heroes like winters and metalhead.

i appreciate the sentiment, but i'm hardly a hero. i'm certainly not in the same league as our guy, wintz.

don't make this about me, I'm simply pointing out your hypocrisy & wondering how you're going to justify it. making this about me doesn't address your inconsistency, let's focus on that instead of the tired "stop bothering me" stuff.

It's not inconsistent. Just because I like to yell eff KU doesn't mean I'd rather finish fifth and beat them than second and lose to them. You don't get to make that correlation. It's not the same thing.

Fair enough. I'm going to keep doing it at KU games though. I've never done it once at any other game. Surely they won't take it away if everyone actually only chants it one game a year, right? It's not my fault there are losers who do it when we play Texas and Oklahoma.

both examples are using ku hate to justify stupidity; his is a rationalization for finishing lower in the standings, yours is a rationalization for intentionally defying social mores to look like a fool. They are the same.

I didn't think oscar's rotation decisions hurt us. Wes was bad and as mentioned earlier he's not good against a zone. We're young. It's going to show in end of game situations. The last sequence in regulation was unlucky and not well played by us.

What pisses me off is that Baylor just doesn't play hard because their head coach doesn't demand it and we lost to that team. They are more talented than us. But we should've won that game.

My fear going forward is that we'll continue to not find success recruiting capable bigs, at least not enough to have any depth and this will kill us against teams with more talent.

What was the name of that big that was supposed to be really good this year but didn't make good enough grades to come to KState? I'm guessing that oscar was dealt a big blow when he couldn't come on campus.

Fincher. I believe he went the JUCO route and still has K-State in mind for his junior and senior year. But I'm not sure if we still have him in mind.
Fincher would be at best an average big 12 Freshmen post and only provided depth. I think we might of move on from him.

Hurt's the one who supposed to be really good, and his grades are fine I think.   :dunno:

Every big 12 team has played 7 at home and 7 on the road.  EMAW's win differential between the two is 6.  The next highest differential is 3.  Please check my math, mocat.

EMAW & KU are the only 2 undefeated teams at home.  What's the matter with Kansas?  It's where foreign teams go to die.
