The ku side of the family has been particularly prickly today.   Rule-of-thumb at family get togethers and with little ku buddies, is to always speak in the most glowing and respectful terms about ku, and to smile broadly at their gallows humor about football (on the very rare occasion when it comes up) and tell them things will get better.  Otherwise they get very angry and it's uncomfortable for everyone.

co-worker took a sick day

the best part is, i just fluffed him all week - "you guys will beat us easy. 8-15 points. we have no shot against embiid cuz gip is our only big and he's only 6'7" "you guys won't lose again. seriously, you're gonna win every game from here on out up to and including the 'ship"
"I started calling him John during the game, cause he was rocking it like No. 7 -- like Elway," Harper said."

Until B-easy came along and pretty much averaged those numbers for the season.

Collison had one of the best games by a college player I'd ever seen at that point.
