We probably lay as a 10 seed right now.

Resume wins: Zags, GW, ole miss, OU, and OK. State. Get to .500 in league play and 1 win vs the next two, we're clearly in. Much further than anyone expected here.

Disagree on 10 seed.   Look at the teams around us.   We are 5-4 in the best conf and have 4 top 35 wins.

Lunardi is not all that, but some of his seeds that lost today=
8 seed Xavier lost at home to a crappy team (rpi136)
8 seed Minn lost at home to a crappy team (rpi 93)
9 seed G wash lost today
9 seed FSU lost at home today to a crappy team(rpi 79)

Lunardi has us as a 8 seed, and I tend to think we were on the 7/8 seed border coming into today.
For now, we are safe, and we are in that 8/9 seed game (much closer to an 8 than a 10 right now IMO)
2 tough games at home vs top 20 teams await us next Sat/Mon.    Time for our boys to man up.   1-1 at the worst .... or we are 5-6 and then the worry of the bubble may start to loom

.500 in confy gets us in.

I would imagine this would be the case, because by doing so we would have beaten two of RPI  #25 (UT), #9 (ISU), or #55 (Baylor), and found a way to not slip up vs. TCU and @ TT.  I don't think we should have any expectation to win on the road vs anyone but TT (and while imo that is a reasonable expectation, having to have that as a reasonable expectation is kind of pathetic).

02/08/14 vs. Texas
02/10/14 vs. Kansas
02/15/14 at Baylor
02/19/14 vs. TCU
02/22/14 at Oklahoma
02/25/14 at Texas Tech
03/01/14 vs. Iowa State
03/03/14 at Oklahoma State
03/08/14 vs. Baylor

Yeesh, really could have used a W yesterday.  I will feel a lot better if we knock off UT next week.  If we lose, we may get an extra home game this year.

Each year is different, but last season the Big 10 was the best conference.   Illinois had 4 wins vs top 25 and 6 wins vs top 50. Their SOS was in top 10   They went 8-10 in the conf and got a 7 seed in the NCAA

I don't think we want to flirt around with going 8-10, but getting to 9-9 we are going to get 1 maybe 2 more good resume wins.  Our SOS is projected to be in the top 20 by seasons end

At 9-9, I could see us getting a 10 seed. The last 4 teams that get in that don't play in those "first round games" will be 11 seeds for the most part and the 4 teams that have to play in the "first round" are usually seeded 12 or higher

You never know what to expect with Baylor, but I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them twice.

It's pretty obvious we're about to lose the next 3. I, for one, am looking forward to hosting a NIT game or two.

Remember, Wichita State won the NIT in 2011.

Guys, we could be 2 years away from a final four run and 3 years away from being undefeated!!!

I think we probably make it to the tournament, but I am going to go back to wanting oscar fired if this happens.

We either win the NIT(as long as we don't have to leave home) or lose in the first round of the tournament

we really are a bubble team though.  our remaining 9-

vs UT W (6-4)
vs KU L (6-5)
@ BU L (6-6)
vs TCU W (7-6)
@ OU L (7-7)
@ TT W (8-7)
vs ISU W (9-7)
@ OSU L (9-8)
vs BU W (10-8)

we need to win every "winnable" game from here on and can't screw up.  i don't see our team winning any upset games.
like rick daris said, we'll head into the b12 needing a win/two to help our seeding.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

we play and will continue to play a lot of close games and i can't quite decide if we're the team that beat ou and osu in close ones or the team that just lost to wvu, iowa st and texas in close ones. more than likely we are what we are, but instead of thinking how good of a position we'd be in if we would've pulled off texas or wvu, think about how ugly and desperate things would seem if we would've just lost one of those close oklahoma or osu games. texas at home in a week is huge. can't lose at home to anyone but ku.

We'll be on the wrong side of the bubble after losses to Texas, KU and Baylor
