i won't claim to know what the best thing to do was in that situation, but if oscar had called a TO and we don't end up scoring people would be saying he shouldn't have called one.
Only if we would have turned the ball over or some crap. If we just miss a shot, oscar did nothing wrong in that situation.

Of course, that's what people on message boards do.

I almost always prefer to let players play. But it's kind of unique because he sat Marcus. Still, I have no problem w/ no timeout there.

Shane also had his patented turnover, fails to guard his man who hits open 3, another turnover sequence. Those are always LOL worthy.

I don't think a TO was the issue.

with the last possession? what? of course it was the issue, it prevented other things from happening

Yes, and very few coaches call a timeout with a guy running in transition, especially if its a senior who is a decent ball handler.

I agree with whoever said the kick out was probably the better idea there too.

lost in the discussion is that incredible sequence with EMAPE where he clunked around and went headfirst into an and-1

I clearly stated itt that I thought going without the time out was fine, that doesn't mean the turnover wasn't the issue with the last possession

I'm speculating here, but I thought the whole point of sitting Foster was offense for defense. You need to call the time out there, otherwise sitting Marcus was a waste. Either way, oscar really mumped up that last sequence.

I think we're talking past each other here. When I said TO it was referring to time out. Not turnover. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding everything.

Their is a difference between being AGGRESSIVE and being FOOLISH.   Don't care if he got caught up in the action.  He had plenty of time to realize.... wooooah, maybe I should back it out (after he pushed it up the court and saw we didn't have numbers)

wow. just wow. the only thing worse than not calling a TO to get our best player back in and set up the offense is saying you didn't call a TO because you wanted a 26% 3pt shooter to get the ball open on a fast break down 2. just wow.

I don't know if a time out was going to get a better look than the one Nigel had right there. A three in rhythm is a great look. And Nigel was on today.
