I mean, really, if we look at this, what are we looking at? even with the penalty of "not attending the scheduled game" in afh, we would be sitting at a 10 spot in the worst of scenarios, right?

We need to re-conceptualize the Sunflower Showdown as a friendly intra-state hoops exhibition (like when LeBron and Durant play with the college guys in the summer). I think this could lead to a lot of healing.

I'd rather find a way to schedule KU 2-3 times a year in football just to even things out. Doesn't seem fair that they get to thrash us multiple times a year just because it's basketball, even if it is a hobby sport.

The problem, as a I see it, is scheduling KU more often in football would just hurt our SOS because they are such a shitty team. Whereas in basketball, we actually help KU's RPI because we're often a top-25 team that, for whatever psychological reason, just starts shitting our pants uncontrollably whenever we play them (sorry, I guess we're just supposed to say it's a "bad matchup.")

Again, doesn't seem fair, but that's life. I guess at the end of the day we have to be satisfied that college football is about a bazillion times better than basketball.

this.  Guys, what you don't understand is that most of our bros over at ku are very poor.  They have lousy paying jobs that require long hours, physical labor, and are generally un-fulfilling.  Yesterday's reprieve from their grinding reality honestly saved dozens of wives and children from getting the belt, or at least postponed it for a few hours.  Pro tip: don't try to figure out how many posters over at the fog use dial up or log in from pre-paid phones, it will seriously break your heart.
